In July, of 2002, a group of Black Canyon City horse-lovers decided they would like to form a riding club with a distinctly Christian focus. Thus was born "Riders for Christ". In October, having discovered, and agreeing wholeheartedly with the goals of Equestrian Ministries International, the Riders for Christ voted to affiliate with that organization.

Today, Riders for Christ is known as Riders for Christ, Arizona Equestrian Ministries International, (AZEMI). We will be pursuing many of the same objectives as our parent organization, including hosting clinics, seminars, and gymkhanas. Members will be participating in parades, including the White Cane Parade in Black Canyon City usually in April, Cave Creek Carefree parade usually in May and Prescott's Fourth of July parade. Riders for Christ is non-denominational. It accepts riders of all ages. It is always looking for new members, fresh ideas, and innovative ways to serve the Lord.

Psalm 147:10-11

He (the LORD) delighteth not in the strength of the horse: He taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.    The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in His mercy.
